Weer een jaar dat in het stof bijt.

 Het jaar 2025 zit er op. Was het een goed jaar? Daar kun je, om je heen kijken, vraagtekens bij zetten. Maar wat mijn fotografie betreft was het een prima jaar. Fotografisch hoogtepunt: de expositie "Beeldenstorm" in Carré Chassé. En ook een trip met fotojuf Luciana en nog 11 fotomaatjes naar Sicilië. Plus  een aantal anderemomenten die ik kon vangen.

 We have finished the year 2025. Was it a good year? Well, looking around, one might have doubts about that. But as far as my photography is concerned it was a fine year. The highlight being the exposition "Beeldenstorm" in building Carré Chassé in Breda. Other than that there was a fun trip with phototeacher Luciana and 11 other photo buddies. Plus a number of other moments I could capture.
So this year is here bundled up on the page "25 of 25".

Beeldenstorm, een expositie.

 Het Fotopaleis, waar ik deel van uitmaak, heeft dit jaar geëposeerd in gebouw Carré Chassé in Breda, onder de titel "Beeldenstorm". De 2e editie, want de vorige expositie had dezelfde naam.
Twaalf fotografen lieten hier zien wat hen bezig houdt en wat zij maken. Het resultaat was prachtig, het bezoek veeltallig en de reacties lovend.  En al dat werk is digitaal te bekijken op de website van deze expositie. Gewoon klikken dus, op de link in de eerste regel van deze post. 

 Het Fotopaleis, the group in which I participate, held an exposition in building Carré Chassé in Breda, under the title "Beeldenstorm". The 2nd edition, because the last one had the same name.
Twelve photographers showed what keeps them busy and what they create.  The result was beautiful, the numbers of visitors amazing and the reactions full of praise. And all that work can be seen om the website of the exposition. So juct click, on the link in the first line of this post.

Fotomagie, een ander soort cursus

 De vijfde cursus bij Luciana, en vooral gericht op ieders eigenheid als fotograaf. Wat wil je maken, wat is jouw eigen stijl, hoe presenteer je je foto’s?
Daarbij mocht naast nieuw werk ook gebruik gemaakt worden van archiefwerk.
Deze keer heb ik dus minder nieuw werk gemaakt. Daarom geen subpagina per opdracht, zoals voorheen, maar “alles bij elkaar genomen”. Op één opdracht na: Het Ursulinenklooster krijgt een eigen plekje.

What do you want to create, what is your own style, how do you present your work? 
All this with, next to new photo’s, the use of older work. So I made less new work this time. Therefore no subpage per assignment, like before, but “all together now”. But for one assignment only: the Ursulinenconvent gets a special place.

Een nieuw jaar maar weer eens.

Het nieuwe jaar, 2025, is geopend. Daarom weer een compilatie van werk van het afgelopen jaar, de 24 van 24. En ook de start van weer een cursus bij Luciana.

And another new year is here. Therefore a compilation of work of the last year, the 24 of 24. This year kicks off with a new photography course with Luciana.

Uitbespeelde toetsen, "when the music's over ..."

 Na het "blauwe album" nu een boek met een ander thema, al speelt muziek hier eveneens een rol. Mijn "toetsen-project": foto's van uitbespeelde toetsinstrumenten. Om even bij stil te staan en in gedachten nog te horen. Maar wel gevonden in lawaaierige en vaak zeer kleurrijke omgevingen.

After the "blue album" comes this new book, with another theme, although music plays an important role here too. My "keys-project": photo's of keys-instruments that have played their last notes. Photo's to look at, stand still for a moment and listen to them, in your thoughts. But I found them in sometimes rather loud and often very colourful surroundings.

That feeling of the blue's

Ik maakte een foto en het resultaat bekijkend hoorde ik plots een bijpassend stuk muziek. Dat werd de basis voor een project met blauwe foto's, blue pictures, the blues. Foto's met een link naar muziek. 

Het resultaat: een fotoalbum met als titel "The Slightly Blue's Project - Blue Prints. En door op die titel te klikken kun je het digitale resultaat bekijken.

Wat de muziek betreft: met deze link kun je die beluisteren op Spotify (mits je daar toegang toe hebt uiteraard).

I made a photo, and while looking at the result I suddenly heard a piece of music, which connected with that photo. That became the basis for a project with blue pictures, the blues. Photos wit a link to music.

The result: a photo album titled "The Slightly Blue's Project - Blue Prints". And by clicking this title you can see the digital result. 

As for the music: with this link you can listen to those tracks on Spotify (provided that you have acces to that program of course).

Weer nieuwe inzichten

Het bleef spannend, maar - een maand later dan gepland - de nieuwe cursus van Luciana ging van start. Onder de titel "De kunst van het zien". - Nou, dat zullen we dan nog wel eens zien! ;-)
Maar hoe heerlijk om weer aan de slag te gaan, met een aantal even enthousiaste mede-fotografen. We gaan weer mooie dingen maken. 

Things stayed tense for a while, but - a month lather than planned - the new photography course by Luciana finally started. Under the title "The art of seeing". - Well, we will see about that! ;-)
But it is so nice to be on the move again, with a bunch of fellow photographers, just as enthousiastic as me. We will be making beautiful things again!
